Hermann Bögel (9 September 1914 – 4 January 1998) was a Oberleutnant zur See der Reserves in the Kriegsmarine during the World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

His name was Philip Hendrik Nering Bögel when he was born. He changed his name later on in his life when he moved to San Antonio, Texas.
